Butler and Everett had 4 hits together, this one the biggest

Not exactly a one hit wonder for another reason. The song is a cover. Originally written in 1956 it made it into the pop charts on several occasions, most notably when Madonna released a version of it. Among the better known covers, of which there are more than two dozen, are those of Elvis Presley, Bette Midler, Suzy Quattro, the Jam, Peggy Lee, Beyoncé and Rita Coolidge.

Pachelbel's Canon...he composed other stuff but even I have only one of them
the one hit wonder that refuses to die, or get ripped off
