I suppose that using a streaming service to listen to music in the end gets the artists more money than home-taping music from the radio.

Home taping from the Radio ... I did not do that often, yet the evocation brings me nostalgy of my more callow days.

When I was a lad home taping involved a shellac disc and moving the horn of the gramophone closer to the crystal set.

well, I never knew shellac before my mum became a cabinet maker and specialized in French polishing.

in my time we had audio cassettes.

I threw out over 500 cassettes in 2015. I still have a few, all are cassette letters.
