We watched maybe a third of the Woodstock movie. Joe is an early part of the movie. The bass and guitar player had to do the girly choir of the record. On the record, they got Jimmy Page to play the guitar.

The Monkees music making machine ripped off not only the Beatles, but here the Byrds. Not songs but the jingle jangle guitar. I will have to look up if they used the Wrecking Crew like the Beach Boys did.

They actually played some of the instruments in later albums. Nesmith in particular. Not likely the drums though. But Mickey was way better a singer than Ringo so he was useful.

Tony Hicks sings...he was not singing on the record. Hicks has never left the Hollies.

My brother died last week, so I share a recording. He was a professional singer/tenor in professional choirs, the last one the national radio choir, actually till his last day on a payroll also as a producer. His long-term Diabetes rendered him blind and finally finished him.

It is not me, it is the second singer from the recording, the baritone (white sweater) and some lady who is not me. My brother is the one in the striped sweater and the tenor in the recording.
