Re: The Non-Crumple Music Thread
Edit: Forget it - won't post as a YouTube video
Re: The Non-Crumple Music Thread
There is, usually, an idea behind the music I post in the other thread. Whether it's related to an issue of the day, the prevailing general theme of the music that has recently been posted, or more of a direct response to the previous video, I don't usually post randomly. From what I can tell Crumple doesn't either, nor Sean. Sometimes we have a bit of a conversation through shared music going on.pErvin wrote:Man, the idea is to provide some info or reasoning or passion for posting the video. If you are just going to dump videos do it in Crumple's thread.

The accordion is the poor man's organ. No matter how well it is played, it reduces everything to the consistency of porridge. It does the same to classical music as it does to even good pop.
Enjoyable - even excellent - for dancing at 19th century style east European weddings, though.
Let's keep them there.

I disagree about the accordion.

Cant stand the wheeze box. Probably comes from being forced into Scottish country dancing at primary school. Another "Dashing White Sergeant" and I will scream.

My partner is a huge Alison Moyet fan. I'm a bit mixed, though I've tagged along to see her live three times now. Some of her songs are stunningly beautiful though. There are a couple of chord changes in this song from her latest album that make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and tears well up. I'm a big softy me.

Not great audio, but you get the drift. And then there's Petar Ralchev...

Buddy Greene. Gave up the harmonica for Jesus, but then the Lord told him to start playing it again. Anyway, he knows how to suck and blow...
