And then he thought 'Fuck that' and booked Colaiuta and Wackernan.

One form of this ad inspired Zappa to write some lines in St Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast...stole the margarine etc

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

I haven't heard this version of Waka Jawaka until today. Was a fabulous rendition of what I think of as one of Zappa's masterpieces - live too.

Just listened to it again. The middle section falls into chaos (harmonic chaos - all within a semi-tone..ish) and hangs together by a thread and then gradually pulls back together. Whoever did the arrangement knew how Zappa thought and emphasised it. Brilliant stuff. Soppy old me with the hairs on my neck on end listening to it. A real treat!

Additional lyrics to Pygmy Twilite. From A Token of His Extreme. Donuts with drug addicts! Great solo, I will try to find it.

Green hocker croakin'
In the Pygmy Twylyte

Crankin' an' a-coke'n
In the Winchell's do-nut Midnite

Out of his deep on a 'fore day run
Hurtin' for sleep in the Quaalude Moonlight

Green hocker in a Greyhound locker
Smokin' in the Pygmy Twylyte

Joined the bus on the 33rd seat
By the doo-doo room with the reek replete
(* bus toilet)
Crystal eye, crystal eye
Got a crystal kidney & he's fraid to die
In the Pygmy Twylyte
Downer midnite
Pygmy Twylyte
Downer midnite
Pygmy Twylyte
Downer midnite
Pygmy Twylyte
Downer midnite

Yeah, yeah, yeah . . .

Twylyte!
Oh, wait a minute
Don't spray that stuff in my eyes
Oh, wait a minute
All we're tryin' to do is to have a little party
Somebody told me Suzi Quatro was gonna be in the party
Make me wanna jump up and down in the air!

Dweezil is at school talent show. He is going to play Van Halen song. Eddie ended up at school stage. He had shown up with guitar and at last minute had Dweezil play Eddie's guitar for the song. School did not know Eddie was going to be there. Until...Eddie visits Zappa home. Eddie produced Dweezil's teenage 12 year old band.

Sadly Frank never named a song Necrodestination.

I’m stuck on playing all versions of Tmershi Duween and Pygmy Twilite.

This is what was heard at my one and only time to see Zappa. I hitchhiked back, buses did not run late. A guy with a chauffer cap for some service gave me a ride.

1974 11 19 - Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Columbus, OH
90 min, Aud, B+/B
Tush Tush Tush, Stinkfoot, RDNZL, Village Of The Sun, Echidna's Arf, Don't You Ever Wash That Thing?, Penguin In Bondage, T'Mershi Duween, Dog Meat, Building A Girl, Dinah-Moe Humm, Camarillo Brillo, Montana, improvisations

I think you are an even bigger fan than I am! I wish I had seen him live though. Here's Dweezil's Village of the Sun. As close to the original as could be.
