On October 15, 2013, Scooter officially announced that their founding member Rick J. Jordan will be leaving the band at the end of the trio's 20 Years Of Hardcore Tour 2014.[57] According to the frontman of Scooter, H.P. Baxxter, in the future, Phil Speiser (from Dirty Disco Youth or DDY) took Rick J. Jordan's spot to provide his skills on the drums, synthesizers, piano as well as sound effects.[58][59]

Scooter have also announced that their new studio album can be expected sometime in August 2014, which will be the beginning of The Fifth Chapter.

Musical style
Scooter's musical style has been defined as trash...sorry...a fusion of Happy Hardcore and Hard Trance.
