Re: Classical Music.
Bach sonatas. There were some 70s and 80s recordings but they were bad. You can do the playlist and play them all.

Re: Classical Music.
I was going to explore more of Schubert. I got an inexpensive box set of the symphonies. It turns out I don't really care for the famous unfinished or the Great (#9), just maybe 3 and 4. They sound sort of like Haydn and Mozart. Not at all Beethoven.
For Beethoven, I don't care for the 5th at all. The famous riff is OK, but as a symphony, I am lost past the first movement. I only ever play the 7th and 9th.
This movement and some piano sonatas are my favorite Beethoven:

Re: Classical Music.
These darn Schubert symphonies are longish. I had to put 4 on iTunes and then walk around with an ancient iPod to play them. I never had a walkman, I did have a similar disc player that was cool, it would play a disc sideways in my coat pocket. Back in the day with Amazon and all, I had to buy CDs from stores. I would be at some cool place like San Francisco and then I would listen to the discs I bought at the end of the day in the hotel.

This rendition reminds me of a musical windup toy we had in our sub-teens. We named it the Plimplumplum.

Yeah, it is rather plinky. Nothing like a big fat Moog.

Re: Classical Music.
A bit of a 'roomy' sound at first, but you soon realise that works to the advantage of a single-line instrument. A really interesting interpretation, and not an inconsiderable technical (and physical) feat...
I was hooked anyway.

Re: Classical Music.
I have an album of baroque pieces for other instruments arranged for bassoon. I already had an entire set of baroque concertos for bassoon by Vivaldi. This disc was a disappointment. Here is his flute to bassoon arrangement:

Re: Classical Music.
Noodling in c minor, with a few pom po doms.
Stringy dreamy stuff in D major....turning into noodling in D by 4 minutes
How do I tell the difference, say in the middle of the piece? I can't remember even one Brahms work 10 minutes after I heard it.
