The Blues Brothers

A weird band for me since I love the music, the film is one of my favourites and I'd give my left nut to have seen them live but all the religious influence doesn't sit well with me for obvious reasons.

Here's a great little song that a lot of you might not have heard.

We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.

The religious stuff was as tongue-in-cheek as it comes, surely? I mean the infamous "Jesus" "Shit" sketch for a start!

Part of the movie The Blues Brothers was filmed in my town. We also played several songs for a marching band filed trip to Northern Illinois University about two years ago. I think I still have the music somewhere...

Love the blues brothers. :D I just watched the movie again recently. And i agree, a lot of the religious stuff was pretty satirical. The scene with the nun is one of my favorites in the whole movie :hehe:
