Awesome homoerotic cover of murder balled/folk song Stag O Lee/Stack O Lee/Stagger Lee etc recorded a full century after the event that supposedly inspired the song.

One of the earliest recorded versions, Mississippi John Hurt 1928. Apparently there is a Ma Rainey version which I'm yet to find, 20s I assume.

Too many versions to mention.. Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, Furry Lewis, Cisco Houston...

Love it, 100 years of the same song through folk, blues, blue grass, rock and roll etc..
Men! They're all beasts!
Yeah. But isn't it wonderful?

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
-Mr P

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.
