Decent Instrumentals?
Decent Instrumentals?
As title says.
Nothing 'epic' like Scores, just instrumentals.

"Astronomy Domine" (sp?) by Pink Floyd. Rush has a few, "La Villa Strangiato", "YYZ" come to mind immediately.born-again-atheist wrote:As title says.

genre restrictions?
Re: Decent Instrumentals?
No 'doof doof' faggotry. Nothing orchestral/classical, I've got plenty of those. Other than that, not really.virphen wrote:genre restrictions?

Here's a couple that spring to mind. I could come up with some others if I wasn't so brain dead right now.

Anything by Ozric Tentacles.
Mike Oldfield - His early stuff is mostly epic, but many tracks started getting shorter & shorter from the 80's onwards. Try QE2 for a start
The Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination
Depending how mellow you want to go... George Winston does very relaxing New Age solo piano.

Pink Floyd: Terminal Frost. Awesome Sax and Piano sounds and sends a chill up my spine every time i hear it.
Also, not really an instrumental unless you consider the voice used as an instrument, but Pink Floyd's The Great Gig in the Sky. Clare Torry has one hell of a voice.

I prefer psychadelic/mellow to any of the heavy stuff. Much easier to turn on and listen to at a whim.
