I only knew Black Hole Sun, but love Audioslave's Cochise even though it's a bit shoutier than stuff I normally go for. It's that 2 chords into chorus bit that gets me right in the belly. :D

For some reason, I suspect it might be a bit less 'cool' but here it is anyway.

Your single-minded obsession with Opeth does tend to become a bit predictable... Still, awesome band, can't argue.

As for my contribution to irregular time signatures, I'll start you off with this... Probably not the best example, but it's the first one that came to mind. I don't know what signature that is (I have almost zero percussion knowledge), but it doesn't sound straight to me...
