To be fair, you hear that and you wonder why Pink Floyd bothered.

Pink Flyod are way better than this. This stuff is boring, dreary and cry-baby-ish. It's like a lullaby.

As much as I love Paul, and I do love Paul, and I still favor his stuff, I have to admit that the best of Lennon blows anything Paulie has done away.
This sort of brilliance didn't seem to last, though, and petered out after a few years. I remember buying a record from Lennon and Harry Nillson and thinking it was going to be fucking awesome, because I loved both of them so much. But I remember it being utter shite. It seemed uninspired and directionless. I think all the lads came out of The Beatles with a great deal of creative energy, but they seemed to burn through it quickly and were kinda left stalled out after that.
I wonder how much of the early solo stuff was actually Beatles stuff reworked?
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Neither did I. I listened to 1 minute. It was terrible. I don't know how people persist in thinking the Beatles or any of their spin-offs were in any way good.

Of course it's like a lullabye. It's about childhood, and how we carry our childhood into our adult life, but how we have to let that go if we really, truly want to become adults. Roger Waters' endless whining about his dad is childish by comparison - though the guitar solos are pretty good.

I don't think it's as deep as you're making out.
And yes, Pink Floyd had awesome guitar solos and music in general. I'm more musical than lyrical and this music is boring to me. I just listened to the whole thing thinking maybe there was a change in the music I had missed out first time. A sudden change in intensity or tempo. But no. It stayed the same. Flat and dull.
