I love Chamipon Jack. I've got an album called "Blues at Montreau". Champion Jack, KIng Curtis, and Cornell Dupree did an unrehearsed show in '71 at the Montreaux Blues Festival, they blew the doors off.
You saw Cornell "Mr 2500" Dupree? Wow. What a monster eh! What a legend.

Prolly said this before but I saw John Mayall’s Blues breakers twice when I was around 16. The lineup, I’m amazed to recall include Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Ainsley Dunbar (not 100% about him) and of course Mayall. Relatively small venues too. That same year I saw Hendrix and the Who live. What an era!

I saw Mayall in about 2006 or so in Halifax, with Mick Taylor, and Stan Webb. Small venue. He came out into the lobby to chat with fans after the show, got his and Taylor's autographs on the program.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I enjoyed the insulting bits, it reminded me of something I read recently about a musical tradition which lead to performers being paid to leave you alone --all smiles of course.

If it's not sophisticated enough, you can always go back to learning to avoid eating yellow snow from the perennially hard done by Zappa.
