Re: The beatles were fucking fantastic!
I didn't go ;last night in the end. Daughter just returned from three months in America etc, so I couldn't find the time. It will be available soon enough in other formats.
As to the sound Tero - I read an interview with George Martin's son, who 'fixed' the sound to reduce the screaming (which is the original recordings drown out the singing). It was done with s0me clever electronic stuff. What you hear, according to him, is a live recording of them at the time. No post production fiddling except for the audience noise.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

Re: The beatles were fucking fantastic!
McCartney still sings OK, much better than most at that age, but it struck me that McCartney and Bill Clinton have the same speaking voice!

McCartney sues Sony
McCartney's legal team is citing the 1976 Copyright Act that says that the rights to works made before 1978 must be returned to their creators 56 years after the date of the original copyright; 2018 will be 56 years since Lennon and McCartney first starting writing songs together in 1962.

Re: The beatles were fucking fantastic!
Interesting:
The crucial "No one I think is in my tree" line is not present, with the rather unwieldy "There's no one on my wavelength" boast standing in for it, but he has that odd, syntactical stutter-step style of speaking already well established with "That is you can't, you know, tune in but it's all right/I mean it's not too bad."

https://worldnewsdailyreport.com/former ... ook-alike/Beverly Hills| The former drummer of the Beatles, Ringo Starr, surprised the world this morning during an interview in his luxurious Californian residence, when he admitted that the 45-year old rumors about the alleged death of Paul McCartney in 1966 were actually true.
In an exclusive interview with the Hollywood Inquirer, Mr. Starr explained that the “real” Paul McCartney had died in a car crash on November 9 1966, after an argument during a Beatles’ recording session. To spare the public from grief, the Beatles replaced him with a man named William Shears Campbell, who was the winner of a McCartney look-alike contest and who happened to have the same kind of jovial personality as Paul.
“When Paul died, we all panicked!” claims Ringo, obviously very emotional. “We didn’t know what to do, and Brian Epstein, our manager, suggested that we hire Billy Shears as a temporary solution. It was supposed to last only a week or two, but time went by and nobody seemed to notice, so we kept playing along. Billy turned out to be a pretty good musician and he was able to perform almost better than Paul. The only problem was that he couldn’t get along with John, at all.”

Re: The beatles were fucking fantastic!
That proves it. If McCartney had really died, there would be McCartney impersonators in Las Vegas.
