It was worth enduring a minute of Daft Punk. :hehe:

"We ain't a sharp species. We kill each other over arguments about what happens when you die, then fail to see the fucking irony in that."

2 songs from
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mighty_wind
The movie was OK, Guest has done better. Not sure why I sold the soundtrack. It's way funnier than the movie. And at times realistic. Even the title is a joke on Dylan.

By the way, about 9/10 I really hate sailing songs. So if you make fun of whaling songs, you've scored double for me. Least favorite Dylan song: Ship comes in.

I can almost tolerate Elvis Costello and Ship building.

There I was, pouring over the latest lot of unread posts that showed up in "Active topics". A feeling of nausea developed. I started skimming. The nausea did not abate. I was in dire need of medication and marked the rest of unread posts as read (Apologies to those of you who actually posted sanely) and wondered how to fix my discomfort. Just then, right on cue, medicine man appeared on ABC-FM in the shape of this powerfully cleansing and rejuvenating, triumphantly kicking the fuck out of the tripe with its clear melody, strong contrapuntal bass beat and deeply moving meditative middle movement piece:

Definitely more effective on a good stereo with matching speakers than the lossy mp3 format streamed to a couple of cheap desktop speakers, but still, you might get just an inkling of what it is about - victory of beauty over utter dreck.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould
