International disaster, gonna be a blaster
Gonna rearrange our lives
International disaster, send for the master
Don't wait to see the white of his eyes
International disaster, international disaster
Price of silver droppin' so do yer Christmas shopping
Before you lose the chance to score (Pembroke)

Cool. I once knew the riffs of House of The Rising Sun. They are actually just the notes of the chords with a little reorganizing. So you hold the chord with the left hand.

I lived through all but the first few months of the 1960s, and I totally missed out on all the music and culture. Living on a remote aboriginal mission there was no TV and we only occasionally saw a week-old newspaper. My parents would tune into the news on short wave radio, but switched off again before there was any music. Music consisted of hymns on Sunday and my parent's gospel LP records. I discovered the 60s when we moved to the big smoke (Alice Springs) in 1972.
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

Ordered a Zombies hit collection, as I was never able to see the brilliance of Odyssey and Oracle, where I liked maybe 4 songs.

I remember the 60's quite well, I was in school for most of them...

It's the 70's that are a little hazy...
