when i was young i would just copy friend's albums on to tape. nowadays the format has changed and the friends have become more diverse, varied and anomynous.

My 'rule' is that I never d'load anything I like enough to buy..and I have bought a few after listening to what is 'available'. I also d'load stuff I have already bought, so for example, having been a fan of Zappa's music since the very early 70s I have bought and lost nearly all his albums more than once, so I have earnt my dues as far as I am concerned. I too have the whole discography!

I buy cds .. new and secondhand ... and I download/capture tracks, some mp3s, but mainly from youtube.
