Hasse Walli, guitar and producer. I have the Best Of this Senegalese band. The musicians in various bands, but their only recordings were made in Finland. The musical style has a connection to Cuban bands.
Hasse, after 20 years, is fluent in that language. He is musical, but lucky for him it is not a tonal language.

After..a year?..the AI stereo just is not working. Drums and vocals are fine but the right hand channel is just junk.

Compare to best mono. The acoustic guitar part that was on the right is now buried so now not quite so bad.

modern studio version. Drummer is a bit lame, vocals good.

Some independent individual did a better than Apple. Same software I guess. The video is just a best match, sound is not from there.

More Senegal music in Wolof
AI explains
N'Dour's music is a fusion of Senegalese, rock, and Caribbean beats, which he calls mbalax. The word "mbalax" means "rhythm" in Wolof.

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

The Silver State. 1894.
