No biggie. It's just another Friday in America. Just another Friday in this fucked up country. This fucked up country that is fucked up BECAUSE OF FUCKING INSANE CONSERVATIVES. It's not fucked up because of AOC, or wokeness, or Colin Kaepernic, or the caravan, or the lack of "patriotic education", or not enough prayer in schools, or Potato Head, or cancel culture, or Dr Seuss, or trans people causing extinction, or any of the other insane shit that Fox News dumbfucks are always freaking over. It's fucked because half the population are out of their goddamn gourds, totally detached from reality, living in an alternate reality and trying to force the rest of us in with them. :irate:

“As a society, we depend upon the professionalism of 13- and 14-year-old boys in tense situations like these to prevent police officers from doing anything rash,” said the Chicago mayor in a press conference outlining the 10-class pilot program introducing teenagers to techniques such as speaking in a calm voice, maintaining eye contact, and using empathic listening to ensure cops never feel threatened in potentially violent situations. “Frankly, it’s vital to public safety that our teenagers learn how to speak to the police so that they defuse, rather than escalate, these emotionally charged incidents.

Indianapolis shooter Brandon Hole bought the two assault weapons he used in his attack months after his pump-action shotgun was confiscated due to mental health concerns.

Don't be ridiculous Seabass. It's nothing to do with wokeness. It's God's way of punishing America for gay-man-bum-love, unborn baby murders, and Democrat Supreme Court judges.

All these shootings are firm indications that the US is starting to return to normal. I guess a lot of the schools are closed so that it is pointless to go and massacre there. Also, if the school is open, there are many other masked people there so no instant panic which would so increase the satisfaction felt by the shooter. :eddy:

Does it matter if US state schools are open? What difference does it make for many?

State schools? All schools are locally funded by property tax. The families here get to choose in person or distance learning. So not all kids are in school though every school is open. One parent will need to stay home for kids under 12 or so. High schoolers can learn from home alone.

"Deadline to switch between remote learning and in-person
May 7 will be the last day families can request for students to switch between remote learning or in-person learning for this school year. The only exception will be for students who have been directed to self-quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19.

If you wish for your child to return to in-person learning for the last two weeks of school, you will need to communicate the change with your school’s office by May 7."

The lack of a well-funded universal education system in the US has reduced your educational attainments compared to most other western democracies.

I agree Jim. Good free education is very patchy.
Here all kids have to attend school. Home teaching is taboo. We have no private primary schools but we have do have different education philosophy schools ie Montessori etc.. There are no catchment areas.
Even the royal kids went to a local primary school which the kids of our friends also attended. No special treatment was given and they all cycled to school. Their mother carried out all voluntary work that was expected of her (patrolling the playground mostly). Now they are at a normal secondary school much further away from their house but they all cycle which almost 80% of Dutch kids do.
