Crowding out rioters with beerbellies and actual horses is awesome. I've heard it goes worse some places. Water cannons sound awful, for instance.

Lauren Boebert says schools should open.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

...written in 2015Knife violence is a big problem in England, yet British police have fatally shot only one person wielding a knife since 2008 – a hostage-taker. By comparison, my calculations based on data compiled by fatalencounters.org and the Washington Post show that US police have fatally shot more than 575 people allegedly wielding blades and other such weapons just in the years since 2013.

Hard to shoot somebody if you don't have a gun.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

You there! Yes, you, urinating in the alley! Stop! If you don't stop, we will beat you with billyclubs. And you are lucky! In America we would shoot you.

Yeah, but without guns how are you going to run the undesirables out of town? With a strongly worded Email?

Re: Only in America
Since we're soon to have a bit of money when we sell the house, I have been looking for a new gun. I want a bolt action rifle in .223/5.56, so in case Sleepy Joe steals my assault rifle I'll have something to shoot those couple of thousand rounds I've got squirrelled away. My first choice is a Savage 110 Scout, 10 round mag and bolt action, MSRP $899. Savage makes a very dependable and rugged rifle, so there's no issue firing higher pressure 5.56 in a gun chambered for .223. You think there's one available online? EVERYBODY is out of stock. I've checked probably 50 online retailers so far, and not a one of them has it in stock. Not only that rifle, ANY .223/5.56 bolt action by any manufacturer.
I tell ya, the best thing that ever happened to gun and ammo makers was O'bammy and his Sleepy Joe Mini-Me. You can find 5.56 ammo on a couple of sites, but it's over a buck a round, high end match ammo is running $8 a fucking round. They'll sell SINGLE rounds! Last batch I bought I got for 30 cents each. Want an AR? Good fucking luck. I saw a low-end Bushmaster at a pawn shop for $1500, at best it's a $300 rifle.
Fuck. Maybe I can build a ghost gun.

Maybe I'll make my neighbour an offer on her deceased hubbies reloading kit. Probably a bit easier to just crochet my own, rather than relying on a market flooded by frightened 'mercanslaklak wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 1:07 amSince we're soon to have a bit of money when we sell the house, I have been looking for a new gun. Eight people have been shot and killed at a FedEx facility in Indiana, US police say.
A witness said he saw a man with an automatic rifle "firing in the open"
Multiple people have injuries and the gunman has died, according to authorities.
