Have to get some more CEOs shot to get any real gun reform. Only I don't know what that would be. You can kill any number of school kids an d CEOs just with a 9mm hand gun.

Imagine if they cared as much for kids as they do for fetuses. I guess abortion is a choice, but demanding easy access to guns is inevitable —dunno.

We have one of those Christian schools as a neighbor. The guy next door is its retired principal. I asked about the pair of abandoned soccer goals he and I have looked at for years now. They sit in the far corner of their lot. The school does not play soccer but allowed another school to use a field for a season. They left the goals behind. The school should pay to haul them away.
The school is located exactly diagonally across from me, so when the shooting starts, the bullets won't reach this far. The school yard is a little closer.

Aside from the sheer horror of these all too frequent events, what I find particularly difficult to process is the idea that pre-teens have to be made aware of the possibility they could fall victim to random acts of lethal violence at school - and then trained how to deal with it. This isn't normal America - it's traumatising in and of itself.

High school shootings are just retroactive abortions.

Traumatising indeed. Previous generations had the traumatic experience of looming potential thermonuclear war but the potential of some shit showing up to shoot at people is more immediate. This will affect the personalities of those who experience it just as previous culturally induced trauma did.

Indeed, but it's also traumatising for every child who heard about it and worried about going to school the next day. It's traumatising for every child that has to practice hiding from a shooter at school.

Private schools turn out to be...schools. It's not black people destroying the school, it's your own kids on social media.
