I'm sure this will get moved, but whatever.
CDC Study: Use of Firearms For Self-Defense is ‘Important Crime Deterrent’
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/cdc-stu ... -deterrent
"The $10 million study was commissioned by President Barack Obama as part of 23 executive orders he signed in January."
“Studies that directly assessed the effect of actual defensive uses of guns (i.e., incidents in which a gun was ‘used’ by the crime victim in the sense of attacking or threatening an offender) have found consistently lower injury rates among gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective strategies,” the CDC study, entitled “Priorities For Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-Related Violence,” states.

"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize."
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."

No surprise to me. I support a citizen's right to bear arms. Sincerely.

Yep, as long as the gun owner can remain sane.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Love the spin....
found consistently lower injury rates among gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective strategies,
and the injury rates for those not emplying self protective strategy?? of course it's missing..
consider the source of the article

Biased source = unreliable. And if you don't care how reliable your information is, your opinion is no better than a person who turns to the bible for answers about understanding the universe. You care not about learning. Rather, you've replaced objective fact for cherry-picking bits and pieces to suit the preferences you had beforehand.
