If you could spend a day in any century or decade..
Which would you choose? And why? What would you want to see and experience?

Sometime in the 1920s in Ireland so I could witness or get a sense of the excitement and triumph as we prized our land from the hand of our oppressors and gained independence.

April 12, 45 BC, (presuming I could choose the place, which would be Rome). That was the day the triumph marking Caesar's victory over the Gauls was held.

I'd spend a day at a house party in the country with the Bloomsbury folks in the 1920s.
Sent from my Bollocksberry using Crapatalk.

I would love to spend a day in Rome in about 150 AD. (If I could stand it!)

One day, not so long ago, just to be somewhere other than where I was.

Oh. Actually I would really love to spend a day in Jerusalem around the time of Jesus and find out what actually went on.

I'd like to go to Bletchley Park the day when the Enigma code was broken for the first time.

Some time in the future. 100 years from now. I'll take my chances on what to see and experience, but I would like it to be where I presently live.Rum wrote:Which would you choose? And why? What would you want to see and experience?

The day Mary convinced Joseph she was pregnant by God. I stand in awe of that level of bullshittery.

And the day Jesus convinced everyone that he was the son of god.Gawdzilla wrote:The day Mary convinced Joseph she was pregnant by God. I stand in awe of that level of bullshittery.
Why go back in time? That still happens daily.

Same here. I was going to say 1000 years in the future but technology will likely be so advanced at that point (if our species is even still around) that the world would probably be incomprehensible to me.maiforpeace wrote: Some time in the future. 100 years from now.
