If it was political why? given his evil sidekicks - the inherent advantages of being a sidekick. If it was not political then how?DRSB wrote:How about Putin?

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

The question is rather, if it were NOT political why? And he is more than a sidekick.

The London oligarch's could put some money in a hat for hit? - albeit they've no motive to draw more attention to themselves than their billions of Rubbles already does. Russia isn't the US - you don't find a free gnu with your cereal packets....insanity is highly unlikely.DRSB wrote:The question is rather, if it were NOT political why? Well, it is unlikely to outtrick him in his own game anyway, considering how he rose from utter obscurity to where he is now, and the people is behind him.

Re: The Next Historic World Changing Assassination?
He was a KGB guy - rather more than obscurity lifted his wings. Some faction, possibly military could oust him for the seat of power if he makes mistakes...hence the distraction of external wars in a time of sanctions. They wouldn't kill him, more useful as a political prisoner - given his fan base....and knowledge.DRSB wrote:Well, it is unlikely to outtrick him in his own game anyway, considering how he rose from utter obscurity to where he is now, and the people is behind him.

You seem to underestimate him, many used too, this is how he rose from obscurity instrumentalising this very obscurity. There is more to that beyond the obscurity of course and don't forget that Russia is a nuclear giant.

A more likely candidate is the Dalai Lama. He's a problem for the new UK relationship with China. Both sides would rather he fell under the wheels of a bus and being a religious man he's relying on the security of woo to keep him safe.DRSB wrote:You seem to underestimate him, many used too, this is how he rose from obscurity instrumentalising this very obscurity.
