What’s Your State’s Average IQ? New Map Purports to Have the Answer

A California based real-estate group has released a map that purports to show the average IQ levels of individuals in each state.
Movoto said in a blog post that they analyzed 500,000 unique tweets from around the country to compose the map, using a computer algorithm to score tweets based on spelling, grammar and word choice.
The group found that California, New Mexico and Mississippi were among the states with the lowest average level of intelligence.
On the other end? Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Massachusetts were among states with the highest IQ’s.

Five points either side of the norm is meaningless. Could easily be due to hot clammy days when taking the measures in the lower boundings and cooler weather in the upper boundings. People have freedom of of movement in the US and many of the slightly smarter will be moving to more temperate climes, and dumber fed on the idea of endless sun to the hot....but it's not gonna make much difference, there's nothing in it, it's the normative range and average behaviour will reflect that. 95-105.
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

I think it would be worth knowing the average age and education level of the Twitter users in each state before accepting pronouncements about IQ based on tweets.
