I got to watch a low-level extract one time. Herky came in at about 250 mm and a chute popped out. The Herky gave birth to a M-60 in midair.

I was just thinking about this myself. I know the C-5 Galaxy could hold two M-60s, but even one might have been too much for a C-141. An M-60 might have been too bulky anyway:Gawdzilla wrote: ...
