This looks really good!

The Atlas of True Names is a collection of world maps that replace the traditional names of the world's cities, countries, mountains and rivers with new ones that reflect their origins and literal meaning.

We were right with "Snotingham"!
Other bizarre examples include Village of Snot's People (Nottingham)...
