What "Trojan horse" have the Dutch used in their war against the Spanish?

The Siege of Breda:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Breda_(1590)
The Siege of Breda was an extremely short battle of the Eighty Years' War during which a Dutch army led by Maurice of Nassau captured the heavily protected city of Breda using a creative method. The Dutch commander was informed that a ship carrying peat to the city was never checked by the Spanish soldiers. Together with the ship's captain he thought of a plan which involved 70 Dutch soldiers hiding in the peat. The plan worked and the city was taken with an absolute minimum of casualties on the Dutch side.

In the Netherlands this application of a ship carrying peat is often compared to the Trojan horse.

I was afraid the hint made it too easy. :)

It took about 10 seconds to type in the correct search term - "spain netherlands 1590 siege".

One of the most famous of all WW II air war photographs, from the "you either recognise it or you don't" category.

Your question. :levi:

Righty. This one might test a few folks, but not a few others. This man had a long career in the military, but achieved fame because of what he did whilst on secondment from it.

We're talking the early part of the 20th century here. That, allied to what you can see in the picture, is all you're getting in the way of clues.

Okay, while you're working on Kevin's ball-buster, try this one:

Under what circumstances would a group of soldiers be ordered to drop their pants down around their ankles. (And no, this is not a medical procedure.)

The wording suggests that this still happens, so I presume we're not talking about some mooning mullarkey that used to happen in medieval battles?

And people have yet to make a dent in my question ... :levi:
