Personally, I'd just pick up a pre-painted die-cast, if I were so inclined. But that's just because I'm lazy and have no skills. Bad eyesight and less than steady hands don't help either.

I already have a model of the Vulcan, and a kit of the Valiant should be available "some time soon ...", courtesy of Airfix*.
