Re: Christianity - A respectful dialogue

So as previously mentioned, we know in our heart that God exists. Some people might object: that humans have a sensus flyus spaghetticus monsterous which allows them to know that the proposition "The FSM exists" is true, without any empirical evidence needed. This objection fails, because no one se...

Re: OPEN LETTER TO RICHARD DAWKINS

Honestly, the rhetoric about Pinochet et al is very overheated. I disagree with the way Josh has handled this, but let me ask you: who has been "disappeared"? No, really. Who has been tortured? Who has been murdered? You weaken your case by such fevered comparisons. This is a tempest in a teapot, an...

Former USAF firefighter. Never prayed, always sprayed. If the dumb sonofabitch isn't thinking at the top of the run, he'll bite it one day at the bottom.

Re: A Single Senator Kills Unemployment Benefits Bill

To be fair, there's plenty of warning when benefits are terminated; you're given a cut-off date with your first benefit check.

His action is certainly heartless, but he's not pulling the rug from under anyone with half a brain.

Re: Prop 8 Trial Closing Arguments May Be Televised

The telecast won't happen. The pro-Prop 8 lawyers will wait 'til the last minute before they file an appeal to stay the trial pending a decision on broadcasting. The majority in the SC hasn't changed; it'll be 5-4 again. This decision will be against teh ghey until Obama gets to replace a conservati...

Re: Nicaragaun Woman Given Pro-Life Death Sentence

Terrible. :nono: This is why the "Pro-Life" movement is anything but. They don't give a fuck about the women, as long as that fetus is born. And once it is, they stop caring. To them, it does not matter if the mother dies, as long as that fetus is born. :|~ The fact of the matter is that the anti-a...

Re: response to emerging independent science on the 9/11 attacks

The evidence now being explored in the international media may pave the way for the US media to take an in-depth look at the implications of what is now known about 9/11, and to re-examine the country's foreign and domestic policies in the light of this knowledge. Might you do us a favor and enumer...

I'm a reg at TAF, RnR, and DA. Discovered this place while following the whole fiasco at RDF. Looks interesting, and I see some SNs I recognize ... cool.
