Re: Aircraft Appreciation thread #3 - Beautiful Aircraft!
There was a program on the History Channel on the Horten Ho 229. They build a scale model at, IIRC, NG's Phantom Works using what information that had about the materials and construction techniques used back then. The model was then taken to a radar test range to have it's performance against the C...

Re: Women's roles and men's of course!
I do the stuff I'm good at, my wife does the stuff she's good at and we both avoid the jobs neither of us like (e.g. ironing). I suppose we are close to being a 'traditional' family. The key thing is that we will both roll our sleeves up and do a job if it needs to be done irrespective of the role a...

Re: Mileage left in the PS2
Dude, there's loads of great games for the PS2! And the current PS3s are not backwards compatible, so a PS2 is worth getting if you don't wanna spend a fortune on a new console. What's a reasonable price? Well, used PS2s are generally going for fifty bucks. It if includes for controllers ( ...

Mileage left in the PS2
Been offered a second had PS2 (slim version, 2 memory cards, 4 controllers and some games) so I have a couple of questions
[1] What sort of price would be reasonable?
[2] Is there much mileage left in the PS2?
This would mostly be used by my children (6 and 11).
Thanks
Russ.

I would return to probably only read. I didn't really contribute [300+], unless you count the arguments for and against members' stance respectively. I became attached to the light blue layout, simple background, and quotidian diverse posts from new members. I didn't really understand what was happ...

Hello and good night
Thanks for letting yet another soon to be ex-RDF mod hang around and make the place look untidy. I had considered resigning as a mod a while back as I had less time to spare than I used to but it looks like the decision has been made for me.
Hope to enjoy myself here with you all.
Russ.
