Re: Doctor Who
I didn't think much of Amy Pond, or Karen Gillan, until the episode "The Girl Who Waited". The older Amy was convincing, partly because of the make-up, but mainly because of the acting.

Re: Police probe "racist" Lord Sugar tweet
I suppose he was stereotyping a race, if you can call Asian a race. Maybe Alan Sugar might bleat, if you made a joke about money-grabbing jews? I have a feeling he might. Jews are not meant to be made fun of, except by other jews. That's only because Hitler went and killed six million of them, and ...

Re: A Case for Jury Nullification...
How can we know that Maho was guilty of what he was accused of? It is not beyond the realm of possibility that his prudish neighbours, scandalised by his sex parties, decided to impart some rough "justice", dragged him from his home, and beat the shit out of him. I don't think that's likely, but it'...

Re: PZ accuses Shermer of rape.
Azathoth's link goes to a comment (#502) rather than the blog post. A self-confessed rapist appears to have been given absolution in the church of Pharyngula, while an unsubstantiated accusation is enough to damn Shermer.

Re: Fast Food Worker Strikes!
I think it's funny when people who work for minimum wage take no responsibility for their life choices which got them into the position to have to work for minimum wage in the first place.
