Re: I actually hate Christianity!

To Whom It May Concern, I also might point out to all of you that we all live in this reality/illusion/state of conscousness where Christianity and other belief systems undeniably exist. How we feel about those belief systems and all the rest of that shit is another matter, but, let's face it, none ...

Re: I actually hate Christianity!

Rum, I'm one of the theists who is a member of this forum, and I think I'll jump into the discussion. I joined RDF a number of years ago, because I consider myself to be something of a researcher and student of life. As a young man, I was a math and science whiz, particularly chemistry, but after ch...

Re: Why do governments prohibit drugs?

Pappa, I've wondered about this for years, since I started inhaling in my fraternity in college. The guys I was smoking with were all future doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc., but, after all this time, the marijuana laws are still a mish-mosh that varies from state to state. I suspect that the reason...

Re: Tokyo Quake Tsunamai

Mai, Aloha! It looks like we both live in places that are in the path of the Tsunami. We had some friends who live close to the ocean come up last night and stay in our lanai. Although we've had a bit of damage to a few boats and docks on the North Shore of Oahu, it doesn't look like we are going to...

Ian, Since I've run into you on this thread, congratulations on Ohio State's impressive 45-7 trouncing of Marshall. Yes, let's hear it for real football, one of the many lovable things about America!

Re: Why I love America

Robert S, Actually, if a lady says "stop now" or "enough" or something like that, I think that her request should be honored. I'm done, or as they say in Hawaii, "all pau," with that. See you around...

Re: Why I love America

sandinista, I've been thinking about that thing you wrote about how commie political types do more than read and spout stuff about how the workers of the world are going to get their shit together. I realized that a huge part of the problem that communists have had is all about image. I mean, everyb...

Re: Why I love America

mai, Actually, I do the best that I can to stay on the "proper" side of the line when it comes to being a dirty old man. I've seen enough old horndogs make fools of themselves by fawning over young women, as if they had a chance of getting some. I've also been around enough women who have let me kno...

Re: Why I love America

sandinista, Let me get this straight... You want to see capitalism destroyed, but you're up there in Canada drinking tequila and rooting for the Chargers, is that right? Don't you realize that capitalists exploit Mexicans to make that tequila and then make even more money off of it by shipping up to...

Re: Why I love America

Tero, I'll take a 60" HD TV to go with the rest of that stuff, a 56' Chevy and some Buddy Holly, Muddy Waters, Merle Haggard and Aretha, etc.

By the way, I think that real Americans drink real Coke or Pepsi. Only the type of people who like soccer drink those nasty diet drinks.

Re: Why I love America

maiforpeace, To each his or her own. I notice that even sandinista, who wants to destroy capitalism, says he loves the National Football League. Yo, sandinista, don't you realize that football is one of the opiates of the masses, a tool to lull the oppressed working classes into a drugged-out, non-t...
