Re: This is why we need the death penalty...

There is no such thing as "secure confinement" outside of the grave, which is the whole point of the thread. Besides, I have no interest in paying for someone like that to live in air-conditioned comfort while he runs his cartel by smuggled-in cell phone while waiting for the tunnel to be completed...

Re: This is why we need the death penalty...

It's not about the addict, I don't care what you put in your body, it's about the murders to facilitate the manufacture, transport and distribution of the drugs that concerns me. Murder may or may not be a suitable justification for the death penalty, sure. Me, I'd prefer jailing them in Supermax f...

Re: This is why we need the death penalty...

I'm not really sure that selling drugs should be a capital offense. Me, I reckon if you buy and use those drugs, you own a little responsibility for yourself. It ain't like that drug lord is pushing the needle in at gunpoint. The trouble with some kinds of drugs, like alcohol say, is that they are ...

Re: Radiation from Fukushima is spreading into North America

The US has been contaminating the world with Caesium 137 from Nuclear Weapons Testing, so it is just getting back a part of what they put into our environment: 948 PBq of Cs-137 was created by nuclear weapons testing. 603 PBq landed in the oceans. 310.6 PBq of that landed in the Pacific Ocean. Due ...

Re: "I wish to speak to my attorney."

OK Seth, try this one on: Marine Just back from Fallujah, literally picks up hometown pizza and beer on way home from airport shags wife, eats pizza, drinks beer, realizes he left smokes in car pants on, no shirt, tiptoes across the frosty front yard to Marlboro Lights in car. Cop next door neighbo...

No you aren't. You're blinded by your ideology, biases and bigotry. I'm not blinded by anything, I don't have an ideology, and I'm not a bigot...I'm just right and you are all wrong. Get over it. 1) You don't know my point of view, because I haven't voiced it. 2) I don't think you're a bigot. I hav...

Won't get the hipsters, though. Maybe change it to a Bud Light, that would get hipsters and micro-brew weenies as well.

Re: Sexual molestation?

"Blind groper" is an entirely appropriate name for a discussion about justice. Above the Old Bailey court house in London is a statue of the old Roman goddess of justice, called Justicia. She has a bandage over her eyes, to represent blind, or impartial, justice, that is not influenced by emotion. ...
